Theo Bamberg
From MagicHistorian
Known to the public as Okito, Theodore Bamberg was the sixth generation of seven Bambergs to make magic his profession. Though his most popular creation may be the Okito Coin Box, Bamberg's stage-filling illusions, parlor tricks and finely crafted props made his reputation. For a time, he operated the Bamberg Magic & Novelty Company at 1193 Broadway in New York City.
Bamberg traveled for several seasons with the Thurston show as technical advisor and performed in the show as a "shadowist," - a performer of hand shadows.
Robert Parrish wrote Okito on Magic with and for Bamberg. The book was first published in 1952.
His son, David Bamberg, was known to the public as Fu Manchu.
A full history of the Bambergs can be found, together with many of their effects in the Tarbell course of magic, vol 6.
