French drop

A classic sleight used by magicians to vanish one or more objects (usually a coin). 

The move was initially called "Le Tourniquet Vanish" which is obviously a french word. As it was translated throughout the centuries it was made easier for the English speaking types to call it The French Drop. It was originated in France and you drop the coin to perform it.
